What is the RECEPTIVE ZONE and why its soooooo IMPORTANT to get in it

The Receptive Zone is a relaxed state of being between sleeping and waking.

It’s in this zone that our subconscious mind is THE MOST RECEPTIVE to change and allowing what we want to come to us, it is also the place where we can connect to our Soul and receive messages from it.

When our brains drop into Theta mode they have a frequency of 4-7 cycles per second and they are operating at a slower rate. In this state not only do we have an increased ability to learn (some people call it super-learning, because we are so subconsciously receptive which improves our overall ability to learn) but we can also be more creative, process and tap into suppressed emotions, boost our immune system (with the Theta waves playing a restorative role), activate healing, access the subconscious and imprint new programs AND connect to your intuition.

When we want to create change in our life and reprogram the subconscious mind, we need to get into this state to be able to do this.

BEING IN THE RECEPTIVE ZONE ALLOWS WHAT YOU ARE DESIRING IN YOUR LIFE TO FLOW TO YOU WITH EASE AND GRACE.

Too often we are living in a state of fear and stress, from our ego and our lower chakras or lower personality. It is important that we are grounded in our everyday lives so we can learn to live from our hearts and not our heads. When we connect to and live from the heart and are grounded then we can manifest what we want into our lives easily.

Stress and fear block us from what we are most wanting, a lot of the time we are living with stress and are not even aware of it, because it may have snuck into your life and made a permanent home over time, so you don’t even know you are constantly in a state of stress (until you start to look after yourself and unwind and actually get in tune with your body)

For me I have gone through periods in my life where I was unaware how stressed out I actually was because it had just become the norm to me. The biggest example was out of a big change after I left a toxic relationship that what unfolded as the days and weeks went by was that I started calming down, my body started calming down and returning to homeostasis instead of living in flight or fight mode where we create so much internal damage which sooner or later reflects into our physical life as illness or disease. It has crept into my life over the period of a few years until I just accepted it unconsciously as normal and didn’t even feel consciously stressed.

When we are constantly on the go go go, pushing so hard, ignoring our basic needs to achieve some sort of goal or outcome or deflect from what is really going on inside of us, then we are setting ourselves up for burnout and stress induced illness – this can look like anything from adrenal fatigue to digestive issues, nutrient deficiencies and many more health issues including mental health. Not to mention things going wrong in your outer world to reflect back to you the state of your inner world, our physical reality always is a mirror for our internal world. You might notice a lot of difficult circumstances appearing in your life one after the other, you may feel blockages around relationships, creativity, business or money or have a lot of undesirable things happen, if you are noticing things like this then please understand it is a sign from your Soul that you need to slow down.

If this sounds like you then you can start to make positive changes now

Here are a few ways of how can we get into the receptive mode?

APPRECIATION – the definition of appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something. When you are truly appreciative of something or someone in that moment you are in the zone, it may be appreciating nature, the beauty of a flower or something kind someone did or said to you, it’s this genuine appreciation that gets us the the zone, if you catch yourself there bask in this feeling for as long as you possibly can.

GRATITUDE – the definition of gratitude is the quality of being thankful when gratitude wells up in your heart this can get you into a beautiful state which will radiate out to the universe and flow more to be grateful for back to you.

MEDITATION – Yeah yeah I know you keep hearing this all the time but it is absolutely true, I actually always meditate first before connecting to my Soul, I always get a clear channel if I meditate first, even for 5 minutes. You can check out a meditation I recorded HERE which can be done at any time.

YOGA NIDRA – Sleep Yoga, this is one of the most powerful forms of relaxation available, generally done sitting up but can be done laying down, the aim in not to fall asleep but to guide your awareness to different parts of your body following the prompts, there are many different recordings available on Youtube, just find one that you like. I use this method with my Soul Coaching Clients before they connect to their Soul in our sessions, it puts them into a beautiful relaxed and receptive state in which they are then able to connect with and converse with their Soul.

NATURE – Spending time in nature at the beach alone or hiking, bird watching, star gazing all of these can really get you into the zone.

BREATHE – It sounds silly and simple but most people do not know how to breathe properly, they are autopilot. You want to practice the full yogic breath which is also how we are taught to breathe in Tantric practices. (Full blog post on how to do this coming soon)

FLOAT TANKS – Inspire deep relaxation, usually filled with 500kgs of Magnesium salts. Magnesium is required for so many functions in the body, most of us are sadly deficient in it. Magnesium helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong and activates over 300 enzyme reactions in the body. We need it for optimal functioning, it is also cleaning for our aura – our energy fields and bathing in or or having float tanks can take you into the zone in about 20 minutes. Beyond Rest is my favourite Float Tank in Perth.

I would love to hear how you get into the receptive zone or if this has inspired you. xxxx
